Benson R.I.P…
August 4, 2009
It is with great sadness that I announce to you the death of a true legend of fish… Benson the largest known uk freshwater common carp has died at the ripe old age of 25 at a weight of 64lbs… Over 10,000 anglers have tried to tame his beast and only 63 have achieved it. How did benson die I hear you say? It is thought Benson may have eaten some dodgy tiger nuts, a nut allergy perhaps?
What a magnificent fish… and just for the record I wasn’t one of the 63 lucky anglers to have caught Benson… R.I.P

A bit off? Whatever do you mean?
Just makes you think how much he’d weight if he did hit 70? Do they ever get to that age or do they all die young due to obesity? It’s a modern problem i hear…
